Is that Uncle Ben?

Here I am looking through some pictures from mommy and daddy's trip out to see Uncle Ben graduate with his Masters Degree. As you can see, I am an expert at identifying everyone in the pictures...particularly Uncle Ben.

Father's Day With Daddy

What a fun day today was! It was Father's Day and daddy and I got to spend the whole day together. We went to the park, played cars, and then went out for a super Father's Day dinner at Olive Garden. It was a great dinner. All the bread sticks I could eat! I probably ate a few too many and didn't have much room left for my pasta. Yet, somehow I managed to find a bit more room a few minutes later when it was time for dessert. I ordered a chocolate sundae and mommy and daddy order something called tiramisu. Funny thing, I ended up really enjoying the tiramisu and worked out a trade with daddy for my sundae. He didn't seem to mind. Who knew that custard and cake could taste so wonderful together. By the way, daddy says given all the nice things I have just said about Olive Garden (free commercial) it seems only fair for them to offer some form of compensation (free appetizer???). He claims my blog readership is skyrocketing and they (Olive Garden) can afford it. All in all, it was a wonderful day. Mommy and daddy also want to wish their Mommy and Daddy's a happy Mother's and Father's day!

Toot-Toot-Chuga-Chuga-Big Red Car

A new favorite song of mine.

Fisher Car Wash

I was trying to wash my trucks in the backyard, when daddy decided to try and give ME a car wash. I was in no mood for it and quickly set things straight.

How about some peanutbutter.

After having finished the watermelon, I was still a little hungry. I thought why not try a little peanut butter. It got messy, but man, that's some good stuff.

Now that's how you eat a watermelon

I know what you are thinking. That is one big piece of watermelon. How could somebody so little eat such a big piece of watermelon? Well obviously you have no idea just how much I love watermelon...but even for me this is a lot of watermelon. It's going to take everything I've got!
They said it couldn't be done. But they have never seen a Fisher go to work on a piece of watermelon. That's one for the history books.

Our trip to the grocery store

It all started innocent enough. Daddy and I were taking a trip to the grocery store to pick up some spaghetti sauce for our dinner that night. Because we only needed that one item, we didn’t need to use a shopping cart. Instead, I asked daddy whether I could ride on his shoulders in the store. He said yes and our adventure had begun. We made our way to the spaghetti sauce aisle and as daddy contemplated all the different varieties, I began to eye-up the cans of corn, peas, and green beans behind us. When daddy backed up ever so slightly to allow another customer through the aisle I grabbed a can of corn and tipped it off the shelf. Daddy quickly turned to watch the can of corn fall directly on his toe and then bounce perfectly back onto the self as if it had been carefully placed there by the stocker. It was pretty amazing and daddy wasn’t quite sure how it happened. Daddy told me not to do that again, but I absolutely wanted to see if I could do that again…wouldn’t you? We moved to the other side of the aisle to grab a can of spaghetti sauce. As daddy reached to grab one, I did the same, but instead of grabbing one can, I started tipping multiple cans off the shelf. Daddy clearly wasn’t happy about any of this and started yelling “Stop Fisher!” Buy you must remember that I am still on daddy’s shoulders and thus in a very advantageous position. Daddy was in a tough spot; trying to hold on to me while simultaneously catch falling jars of spaghetti sauce. Daddy did a wonderful job keeping up at first. I think he managed to catch the first 5 jars (and not drop me). But when I tipped the 6th jar off the shelf daddy had run out of places to put them. The jar headed straight for the ground, but instead of bouncing off daddy’s toe, it just smashed on the floor. Daddy was not happy and his shoes and socks were covered with sauce. After he put all the jars back on the shelf, we had a very serious talk about grocery store etiquette. I was afraid daddy was going to cancel our trip to the movie theater, but he didn’t and I learned one heck of a lesson…spaghetti sauce jars don’t bounce.

Working on my Train

Daddy caught me standing on my train table today. I am supposed to stand on the side. But if a guy's doing some heavy duty train work, sometimes he's got to get right on top of the problem.

Trip to the Water Park

Today we went to the Water Park. It was a lot of fun. I put on my favorite floppy hat to keep the sun off me. It's pretty cool.

Thought for the day.

Just in case you were wondering...life is good!

Hocus Pocus

Check out my magic skills. This was the hotel we stayed at on our trip home. I was able to open and close the hotel doors on command.

Back from our trip

Greetings everyone. Sorry for not blogging recently, but we just returned from a trip back to Wisconsin. I was able to spend a lot of time with my grandparents and I loved every minute of it. In case you didn't know I have 2 grandpas and 2 grandmas. I point this out to mommy and daddy quite frequently. The trip was a bit more busy for mommy and daddy. They went out to Denver to watch Uncle Ben receive his Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Colorado at Denver...Congrats Uncle Ben!!! Then daddy went on a golfing trip and mommy went to Chicago to look for houses. As I said earlier, I spent nearly every waking moment playing with my grandparents. And as you can see from these pictures, I even got a chance to play on my John Deer tractor. I did a little driving, but I still prefer to push it.

Speed Mowing

Today was another day of yard work. We want to make the house look nice so that we can sell our house and move to Chicago. I'm very excited by this prospect because I will be closer to my grandparents. So I decided to help out by doing the laundry. I still think the lawnmower is called the laundry mower. Daddy is very proud of how nice the backyard looks. He's always telling me stories of how bad it looked when we first moved here and how there was poison ivy everywhere. I am not sure what poison ivy is, but apparently daddy is not fond of it.

Below is a video of my mowing technique. I call this speed mowing or doing the laundry.

Today was a 4 banana day!

Yup, I have eaten 4 bananas today. That's a personal best for me. I could probably eat another 2 or 3, but there are no more bananas in the house. Mommy and daddy will have to go shopping.

Phone Time With Grandma

Here I am having a birthday conversation with Grandma on the phone. We are talking about trucks...of course.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today is May 2 and it is my Grandma's birthday. I am very excited that it is her birthday, but am also sad that I cannot be with her to celebrate. I am an excellent present opener helper. So instead I have put together a little birthday song for her. Happy Birthday Grandma! I will see you soon.

In addition to being excellent with the measuring tape, I can also do wonders with a shovel. Here I am doing some work on our flower bed in the back yard.

More Measuring

Mommy and daddy have been doing a lot of work on the house to make it look nice so that someone will buy it and we can move to Chicago. I talk a lot about our move to Chicago. Mostly because I know it will get me closer to grandpa and grandma. Both sets. Yes, I now know that I have 2 grandpas and 2 grandmas. I tell mommy and daddy that a lot these days. It's a pretty big deal. But back to my main point, because of all the work on the house, I get to play with the tape measure more than usual. I think mommy and daddy wanted these pictures up because he thinks I look cute in this outfit.

This morning's musings over coffee & juice.

Fisher: Daddy, can I say something?
Daddy: Sure.
Fisher: I want to say…God!
Daddy: That’s great Fisher.
Fisher: Daddy, God gave you your eyebrows.
Daddy: That’s right. It sure was nice of him.
Fisher: Daddy, can I say something?
Daddy: Sure buddy.
Fisher: I want to say speedy little race cars!
