Trip to the Shedd Aquarium

Today mommy and I took a trip to the Shedd Aquarium. It was amazing. I saw all sorts of fish, sharks, and even a sea-turtle. Who knew there were so many fish?

My favorite part of the Aquarium was the 3D movie about the ocean. Don't I look great in 3D Glasses!!

When in Rome...

Life is Gooooooooood!!!!

I know, you are saying to yourself "does this Fisher character do anything other than go sledding?" Well I say, when in Rome do as the Romans...when in Chicago during the winter, go sledding. This time mommy and daddy took me to a new sledding hill in Geneva. It was not as steep as the other hill, but was much longer and bumpier. It made for a great time. After sledding we all went out to lunch in Geneva. I got a grilled cheese, but once our food arrived I decided I preferred daddy's brat. Good thing he ordered a brat AND a cheeseburger. When it comes to food, Daddy is always thinking ahead.

Video of my super-crazy crash!

While Mommy couldn't go down the hill with me she still helped me climb up.

This run was particularly good. I made it all the way to the end of the hill!

Daddy always makes sure I am safe on our speed runs.

Another day on the sledding hill!

Daddy and I went sledding again today. It has been so cold that I've had to stay inside the last few days. I've built up a lot of extra energy. Sledding is the perfect outlet for a little 3 year old boy. Here are a couple of videos. This first one is daddy and me going down the hill together. As you can tell, we were really moving...lots of fun bumps.

This next video is me going down the hil by myself. I was going as fast as a rocket. Demonstrated by the fact that daddy could not keep up. What fun.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!

Wow! We are not in Little Rock anymore! The snow keeps coming and I am loving every bit of it. After a big snowstorm rolled through a couple of days ago, daddy and I decided to go out sledding. We went to a snow hill behind Felix and Pierre's house. Now, I had been sledding a few times before, but this was a whole new level of fun and excitement. The first two times I made daddy ride in the sled with me. However after that, I was on my own! The sled works great and I go so fast. Daddy would walk with me to the top of the hill and then give me a big push. I would take off like a rocket. There were a few times when I almost ran into other kids on the hill. They would jump out of the way and I would laugh. I was not scared at all. Felix and Pierre also seemed to like sledding (Pierre more than Felix), but they were not quite ready for the big hill. Once they get a little bigger I'm going to teach them how to go super fast.

My new helmet

I got a great new bike helmet for Christmas. It's a Cars helmet and quite striking. I can't wait until it warms up so that I can go outside and ride my bike with it. I've grown a lot in the last few months and in the process have outgrown my current "little boy" bike. I'm hoping that by the time spring rolls around I'll be ready for an upgrade to a "big boy" bike.

Hot Chocolate!

Another great thing about winter time in the north is all the hot chocolate. It can get a little messy, but it's worth it. Yummy!!!

My New Playroom

My favorite part of our new house is the basement. It's got two parts, one of which we've turned into my playroom. It's absolutely fantastic! I've always had two trains (a Thomas and Geotracks), but never had the space for TWO train tables. However, this room is big enough for two train tables with enough room left for my hot wheels track. If you come over, which I hope you all do, we'll go down and play with my trains.

Payoffs for Pooping

I'm completely potty trained at this point, but here is a video from a few months ago when mommy and daddy were using the "incentive system" to get me to poop in the toilet. It was a fun ride while it lasted. Now I get nothing for pooping or going potty in the toilet.

My Birthday Pictures

I turned 3 years old this past September. I knows it's a little late, but here are a few pictures from my party back in Little Rock. I told mommy it was "the best birthday party I've ever had. I got a Thomas the Train cake! Can you believe that! A Thomas the Train cake!!!

Sucker Time

Cuddle Shots

I know everyone likes the see the cuddle pictures. So here is one of me and mommy at the new house. She's so cute. You can't see, but my little sister is right there in mommy's belly.

Christmas in our new house!

I was really excited about Christmas this year. I'm getting pretty old, so it makes sense that I understand it much better. Once we moved into our new house daddy went out and got us a beautiful Christmas tree. I did most of the decorating of the tree. You've got to be careful to put ornaments all over the tree, otherwise the empty parts of the tree will get lonely. Daddy had to lift me up to put the ornaments way up on the top of the tree.

I'm back and what an adventure it's been!

Greetings everyone! I'm sorry I've been away for so long. So much has happened that I have been dying to tell you about. First, and most importantly, I moved to Chicago! Did you know that it snows a whole lot in Chicago? As you can see from the picture, I've been taking full advantage of all the snow has to offer. Daddy and I made the snowman in the picture. I called him Snokpot. It was a lot of work and I needed to take a rest afterwards. Sorry, I got off track there for a second; back to my story. Yes, we moved from Little Rock to Chicago. I decided that I wanted to see my Grandpa(s) and Grandma(s) more so I told mommy and daddy that it was a good idea to move. But I never imagined it would be so much work! Daddy had to go early so that he could start his new job, while mommy and I stayed behind trying to sell our old house. It still hasn't sold and daddy keeps complaining about some superprime lender guy. But mommy found a nice young couple to rent our house in Little Rock and we were finally all able to move to our NEW house in Chicago. The new house is great, but I'll tell you all about that in future posts. For now, you should know that I am back with a blogging vengeance. O-yeah, I almost forgot to tell you that I have a sister on the way. Mommy has got her in her stomach for now, but soon enough she'll be here and I've got so much to teach her.

Happy Blogiversary!!!

Can you believe that "Musings of a Fish" is now a whole year old! Daddy and I took some time today to look back over all of my thoughts, pictures, and videos of the last year. I've changed so much. I said goodbye to my crib and highchair. I have learned so many new words. And most importantly, I've learned to use the potty. Life is full of changes and I can't wait for the next wave to hit.

An Artist at Work

Today I felt like drawing. I filled more than 10 sheets of papers with different drawings.

A day at the park

Daddy and I went across the street today to play on the playground. They recently remodeled it and in the process added a lot of fun equipment. One of my favorite additions is the tire-swing.

I also like to hang from stuff. This one is great. I can hang and swing at the same time.

Maybe I will be a mountain climber when I grow up.

Soccer Time

Here I am playing with my soccer ball. I have just started to become very interested in kicking, throwing, and catching. I really like playing ball with daddy.

Trip to Galveston!

We took a quick trip to Galveston Texas last week. It was my first time at the ocean and I can't wait to get back. Here I am dipping my toes in the water and preparing to chase down a few seagulls. Here Mommy and I are getting ready to jump over a big wave.
Mommy and her good friend Kelly relaxing at the beach. What a bunch of hotties!!Jack and I are thinking out how to build the world's best sandcastle.

Daddy and I had a lot of fun at the beach.
Here I am with my good friend Jack and the two daddies. Sometimes I think the daddies are as silly as we are.
This looked like a great spot to dig.
I really enjoyed digging and building castles at the beach.
Jack is my good buddy. We shared a lot of hugs. They started out innocent enough, but usually ended with us flinging each other around and laughing hysterically.
Aren't we a cute family!

Daddy has introduced me to the wonderful game of catch. Who knew it could be so much fun. I find I get so excited that I forget whether I am right or left handed.
