The Blizzard of 2011

Now that is a lot of snow! We were hit with a blizzard last night that dropped a couple of feet of snow on us. I have never seen so much snow. This is what daddy and I saw as we tried to get out of the garage today .
This is a video of me trying to find a way out of the garage into that mountain of snow.
I made it!!!
It took us a couple hours of hard shoveling, but we managed to dig our way out. Everyone pitched in. Everyone was pretty tired when it was all done. Well, except for me. I found my friend Jake and we played "king of the mountain."

Kitson liked the walkway up to the front door. There was so much snow, it felt like a tunnel.
Kitson is the king of the mountain.
This is what our street looks like. I told daddy that they were going to need a super plow to find our street again. They say it may take two days before we can get out.
Now I am tired. Time to go eat some lunch and watch Star Wars.
I think Kitson was also getting tired.
That snow in the street is almost taller than Kitson.
Now, Daddy is king of the mountain.

Packers going to the Super Bowl

What a game! The Packers beat the Bears to make it to the Super Bowl. We all watched the entire game together, cheering on the Pack. Although I think daddy was the most stressed. Good thing that Mommy made some fantastic chilly. That seemed to help. We are all excited to cheer the Packers on in the Super Bowl in a couple weeks. This video was right after BJ Raji intercepted jay cutler for the game winning touchdown. As you can see, Kitson was not as impressed with the score as Daddy and I were. I think she was worried about the upcoming defensive series.

Reading before bed

Tonight before bed, I decided to read a book to Kitson. She really loves books. I mean REALLY loves books. That's all she wants to do these days. Read book after book. Mommy and daddy say that is good. I think it is helping her learn all sorts of new words.
Here is a video of me reading to Kitson. It's important that I help teach her all I can.

Dada, dada, DADA!!

After dinner, daddy, Fisher and I had the best time playing with each other. Daddy was hiding from me. He would sneak up on me and I would laugh. I did get a little concerned when I didn't hear from him for a while. I find that if I holler DaDa enough, he shows himself. Daddy thinks it's pretty amazing how one word can have so many different meanings depending on how I say it.

For this game, Fisher and daddy were chasing each other with their pretend blaster guns.

I am back and I think I've aged

Sorry for being gone for so long. Things get busy and I don't know where the time goes. As you can see, I've changed quite a bit since my last post. I've grown a mustache, added glasses, and generally look like an old man. How Cool!! We went over to Kelly and Julien's the other night for dinner and Julien painted my face. He is a true artist. Mommy made me wash the paint off before bed. Too bad, the kids at school would have loved this.
Felix and Pierre decided to get their faces painted as a cat and dog. Super cute as well.

Reading with Fisher

Here is a video of Fisher reading me a story. It's about firetrucks and he is THE expert when it comes to firetrucks. He's a really good brother to me. So kind. I apologize for the fact that I get a little upset towards the end of the video. I wanted to hold the book myself.

An afternoon in the city

Last Saturday we all went down to Chicago for the day. We spent the morning at the Children's Museum and the afternoon walking around Navy Pier. Lots and lots of fun. I really enjoyed looking at the water and all the big boats.
Look at all those big buildings. How did they get so big?
Did you guys see that big boat?
Here Fisher and I were smelling the beautiful flowers.
Sometimes Fisher helps me keep my balance. He is such a good big brother.

Birthday Party!!!

For my birthday, I gathered all my friends for an afternoon of miniature golf and cake. We had the party at a local mini-golf place that had all sorts of fun games to play. I decided that for my 5th birthday I should have a cake that has a picture of ME on it. I think it turned out fantastic!
This is a video of all my friends singing "happy birthday" to me.

I think the best part of the birthday party was the golf.
This is my special putting technique. It works very well. If the ball doesn't go in on the first try you just drag it into the hole. That only counts as one stroke.
There was often a line to tee off at the next hole. Because it was my birthday, I got to go first.
The party was a lot of fun. I feel lucky to have so many good friends.

Green Bay Packer Time!

While we were up at the water park in Green Bay, I was adamant that we get to go see the Green Bay Packer stadium. They are my favorite football team. Here I am out in front of the stadium sitting at the base of Curly Lambeau. They also had a statue of Vince Lombardi.

Here is a picture of my brick. It's pretty fantastic that my name is ON Lambeau field.
Here we are at the feet of Lombardi.
Grandpa, Daddy, and I went for a tour of Lambeau field. The even let us out on the field.
Don't you wonder what I am thinking in this picture?

It's Birthday Season

Sorry for being away for so long. So much has been going on, I've gotten sloppy on my blog posts. Good news is that so much fun stuff has happened. Most importantly, I turned 5!! I had a couple of celebrations. One of which was a super-fantastic trip up to Green Bay and the Tunda Hotel. It has a water park at the hotel.
I think Kitson enjoyed the water park as much as I did.
I spent most of my time going down the water slides. Kitson took things a little slower. Here Kitson and daddy are taking a relaxing ride on the lazy river.
Isn't she the cutest?!

A Day in the City!

We took a day trip into the city. The weather was absolutely perfect and we had a wonderful time exploring the Field Museum and strolling along the lakeshore.

A future musician?

Here is a video of me walking around the room exploring the different instruments and exhibits. So much fun. Not surprisingly, I was drawn back to my drum.

Real Dinosaurs...well sort of.

Today we all went to the Chicago Field Museum. What a spectacular place. I was most excited to see the new dinosaur exhibit. They have created dinosaurs out of machines and use this special face recognition software so the dinosaurs can look at you and watch you move. It's super cool, but also a little scary. The dinosaur above me is named Sue. She is over 67 million years old! Wow!
Here, daddy and I are watching the T-Rex. It looked so real! I know it wasjust a machine, but I will still a little scared watching him.
This guy was really sneaky. Mommy and I were trying to play a game and learn more about him, when he started to make all kinds of noises.

The family

After repeated problems with our old computer, we finally broke down and purchased a new one...a Mac. It's got lots of cool features, one of which allowed us to take this black and while photo of the family.

Me and my stuff

Here I am asleep in my bed. Daddy thought you might get a kick out of all the stuff I bring to bed with me. It does vary from night to night. Some nights I just bring my pirate ship and flashlight. Other nights, more items are required. Tonight I needed a lot of stuff. Lots of good playing before I fell asleep...which daddy tells me is usually about 10 minutes.
