Can't a little guy get a moments peace?

That Kitson can be such a stinker! Today was a full day. I was up early, got a good two hour swim in, and then did some work in my basement. After that, I thought I might catch a little catnap before dinner. Well, Kitson was having none of that. She means well, but I sure would have appreciated a few more minutes of snoozing.

Reading

Fisher and Jackie were playing with one of Kitson's toys in the living room yesterday. Each was taking a turn whacking the lever that made a song come on.

The Conversation:

Fisher: Jackie, we need to be very careful with this toy. It says right here (pointing to the writing on the bottom of toy) that there is oil in this toy and that we need to be delicate with it.

Jackie: What?

Fisher: Yes, it says right here (again points to writing on bottom of toy), that if we are not careful we could spill oil everywhere.

Jackie: Fisher, you can't even read!!

Fisher: Well, okay, but I can still tell from these letters that we need to be careful.

Soccer Practice and the Swings

Daddy and I played on the swings today during Fisher's soccer practice.

If you look over there you can see Fisher playing soccer. He's really good.

Now how do I get up there?

I also had a lot of fun just watching Fisher play soccer. He's the cute little guy in the red socks on the left side of the picture. I tried to walk out and join him a few times, but daddy wouldn't let me.

A paintbrush and paint...well sort of

Today I had some very unique candy. Grandma Shari got it for me from a special candy shop. The paint brush is a sucker that you then dip in the paint...which is also candy. Yummy!

My first Cubs Game

Today was a good day. Daddy, Grandpa, and I went to the Cubs game. We took two trains to get to the game. Two trains!!! This is a picture from the first train. I had just taken a big swig of water.

We went to lunch at Lucky's. They have BIG sandwiches.

To help settle my stomach after lunch, I had some cotton candy.

After the cotton candy, I needed a nice salty snack. Grandpa got me this bag of popcorn. Yummy!

Fisher and I went to the park today. I spent most of my time on the ground, but Fisher was climbing all over the place.

Most people like to slide down the slide, Fisher likes to go up!

It was a hot day and I was sure glad to have my water.

A Field of Dreams

An afternoon in the pool

Mommy and daddy got us a new pool this week. It's been perfect for this hot weather we have been having. We have already taken a bunch of swims together.

The octopus dance

This morning Fisher and I were watching TV when suddenly this program doing something called the octopus dance came on. I stopped everything to watch and learn. Here is a video of me practicing.

My best swimming yet!

My swimming lessons are going very well. I am really working on stretching my arms out in front of me when I swim. It's particularly important that you are a good swimmer when your name is Fisher.

What a busy morning

Now that I am almost 15months old, I am in that transition stage between needing 2 or just 1 nap a day. Today I decided that I was not going to take a morning nap. But then at lunch time I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open. I finished my black beans and dozed off.

Tapping you on the head with my shoe

Fisher sure has a lot of patience. This morning I decided to see what would happen if I whacked him on the head with my shoe. He was a pretty good sport about the whole thing, even when I came back to whack him a second time.

Now That's a Polar Bear!

How about that for a close encounter with a polar bear?! Daddy and I went took the train to the zoo on Wednesday to check out the new bear exhibit. This polar bear would walk right up to the window and stand up and wave to all the people. You can see his big palm prints all over the glass. Pretty exciting.

Waking up from a nap.

Today I had an excellent nap. So good that when daddy came in to get me up, I kept hiding in the corner of my crib. I was also trying on my new summer hat. It make me feel like I am at the Kentucky derb.

Another jump off the diving board

Today at swim lessons, we went off the regular diving board. Lots of fun and I am really improving my swimming.

Wagon Ride

Check out our super cool new wagon. Kitson and I went for a long ride this afternoon. We both kept smiling the whole time.

Do you want to pet my monkey?

This is my little monkey. He's super fun and cute. I like to take him with when mommy and I go to the grocery store. I've even asked a few people at the store if they wanted to pet my monkey. For some reason, mommy seems a little uncomfortable when I ask people that.

Wash Cloth Game

I don't really enjoy getting my hands and face washed after a meal. In fact, I'm quite cranky about it. Daddy came up with this game to make the experience more fun.
