Tree trimming Day

Today was a very much day around the house. The tree trimmer guys came to trim our beautiful honey locust in the back yard. I was a little worried that they were going to cut down the branch with my swing. I went outside an had a good talk with the guy before they got started. I also suggested that they could take some advice from the movie Tangled and use their hair to swing from the branches and trim the tree.

It was a lot of fun to watch the guys work. They were so high up in the tree. Fisher and I had a blast. Too bad for Fisher though, because he had to go to school.

The first book I read.

Today, for the first time, I read a book all by myself. It was a great book titled The Fat Cat Sat On The Mat. I highly recommend it if you're interested in reading about fat cats.

Best hiding place ever!

While I have alway been an avid fan of the game "hide and seek" recently I have elevated my game to a new level. Fisher and I play all the time. Today daddy and I were playing a round. It took the poor guy forever to find me.

Where's Waldo?

This morning daddy and I walked Fisher to school. I decided to ride my scooter. Those two couldn't keep up. It is hard to tell, but I'm the little orange spot on a scooter. Nothing to worry about, I stopped right where I was supposed to and waited for those two slowpokes.

Our new bike rack

Daddy helped Fisher and I build a bike rack for all our bikes. It was super fun to build. After is was all together we of course needed to paint it.

Fisher and I tool our time to make sure if looked perfect.

Dinner at Las Palmas

The whole family went our for dinner at Las Palmas the other night. I was really excited, but for some reason fell asleep on the ride over. How embarrassing. I even missed the mariachi band.

Best buddies

Kitson and I were playing in the backyard today and we decided to take a break. As you can tell, we're pretty good friends.

Good guys battling the bad guys

We've all been battling colds recently. When you get sick it's because bad guys sneak into your body. The good news is that your body is full of good guys that battle the bad guys. Fisher and I really like hearing about the good guys battling inside our body. I tell you all about it in this video.

First day of 1st grade

Today was my first day of 1st grade. What an exciting day. It was my first WHOLE day at school. For kindergarten you don't stay for lunch. Mom packed me a great PB&J-hold the J sandwich and some Yummy snacks. The only hitch was that I got the wrong sized pencil box. But as I told dad this morning "It's no big deal dad, it's just a pencil box.

Playtime in the backyard

Hi everyone. I'm sorry I haven't posted for a long time. I'm going to try to get you caught up on all the exciting things that have been happening in our lives. As you can see from this picture, Kitson and I are enjoying the wonderful weather and our amazing backyard. I'll make sure to post a bunch more in the near future.

Ice Cream!

I REALLY like ice cream. It's super yummy. The other day after finishing my bowl, mommy and daddy caught me trying to drink the left over ice-cream liquid. It's just as yummy as the frozen part. A little messy, but mommy is always right there to help. I also really like chocolate.

Our first trip ice skating

Today we went ice skating! It was fantastically fun. Both Kitson and I loved it. But boy was it slippery. I must have fallen 50 times.
In this video you can see me using this little contraption that helps kids like myself keep their balance while you learn to skate. I like it, but I couldn't generate much speed with it.

Here daddy and I took a little break to reflect on the experience. Even holding on to the side I managed to slip. What a crazy sport!

After a little more work I started to figure things out. I still fell a fair amount, but that's part of the fun.
In this last video, you will eventually see mommy and Kitson come skate up to daddy and I. Kitson really enjoyed skating. Mommy is also very good. Although, I think her back got tired holding Kitson like that. Once we were all done, it was time to return our skates. Kitson did not like that one bit. She cried and cried as we came off the ice.

One of my favorite movies is Toy Story. I also really like the movie Care Bears. In this performance, I take the music of Care Bears and insert my own lyrics of the Toy Story movie. I think it works wonderfully. You should also note, that I am sporting my new underwear. And yes, they are Toy Story underwear.

Chef Kitson

I have found a new passion, cooking! Today I was preparing some lovely chicken nuggets for lunch. As all good cooks know, one must wear an apron when cooking food. I insist upon it and usually like to wear it for both lunch and dinner preparations.

Sledding

Today Fisher, Daddy, and I went sledding. It was soooo much fun. So much speed. Fisher would ride in the back and I would sit on his lap. We made a great team. Except for the one time he rolled out of the sled and onto me. He said he was sorry and was careful after that.

Dancing

Kitson and I had a big dancing session tonight. We both have very original dance styles. I like to free-style dance. That means there are no rules! Kitson likes to spin.

Fun at the Arboretum

It was super warm last weekend and we decided to take a trip out to the arboretum. We had lots of fun running around all the different activities. Fisher spent most of his time searching for the 15 gnomes they had hid around the grounds. He found all 15. My favorite part was going down the slide. The only challenging part is that you once you made it down the slide you had to run a long way to get back up again. It was some excellent exercise.

Can you reach it?

Last Saturday, one of my paper darts flew under the entertainment center. It went way in the back and was the hardest thing to get out. As you can see, Kitson and I worked for quite a while on it.

Frosty the Snowman

My absolute favorite Christmas program this year was Frosty the Snowman. I have memorized the whole song. I asked daddy if he would play it for me on the piano so I could sign along. It went pretty good although daddy kept saying that Frosty's eyes were made of snow. Silly daddy. I am also a pretty busy little girl, so I needed to step away from the piano from time to time to take care of my business.
